Refrigeration Installation/CAPEX Technician

This position reports to CBES (City Building Engineering Services)
SUMMARY OF POSITION
We are looking for an individual who exhibits a strong attention to detail and is committed to a professional excellence not only with themselves but their team members as well. This position always requires a positive attitude.
The Refrigeration Installation/CAPEX Technician will have experience installing commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems, as well troubleshooting capabilities on refrigeration racks, cases, hvac, and control systems.
This position requires but not limited to approximately 50%-75% regional/domestic travel within a 250-mile radius.
Primary Responsibilities
As a Refrigeration Installation/CAPEX Technician, you will:

• Actively participate in new/remodel refrigeration installs for large supermarket clients.
• Complete refrigeration/HVAC /CAPEX projects as directed.
• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on parallel rack systems, cases, Glycol/CO2 secondary cooling, and HVAC units.
• Install and program case controllers including Danfoss, Emerson, and Dixell controllers when needed.
• Install, set-up and troubleshoot Danfoss and other manufacturers electronic TXVs and electronic EPR valves and controllers, chiller controllers, anti-sweat panels, sub-cooler controls, and digital compressor control.
• Install, program, and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives including Danfoss and ABB.
• Install, program, and troubleshoot Bacharach HGM leak detectors.
• Commission and review supermarkets refrigeration systems to increase efficiency and reduce energy and maintenance costs.

A strong candidate will have:

• Experience with new/remodeled refrigeration installations.
• Experience working on large commercial refrigeration.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills in mechanical and electrical.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a team player.
