Refining Department Laborer

Available Schedules:

Casting & Alloy

1st Shift: 6AM - 2PM

2nd Shift: 2 PM - 10 PM

3rd Shift: 10 PM - 6 AM

Entry level position focused on training of all necessary job functions and requirements in the Refining Department. Employees will enter this department as an entry level job with ample opportunity to advance over time. The Refining Department is where lead is refined and molded into blocks.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

- Follow instructions of the foreman

-Day to day labor involved in alloying lead

- Day to day labor involved in casting a finished product

-General housekeeping throughout the plant

-Understand overall process, material, and production goals

-Use shovel at various levels and angels

- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment

- Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner

REQUIRED SKILLS:

4. General housekeeping and area cleanliness

5. Proper PPE use

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks

- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

- Ability to work well in a team environment

-Understand and follow all company policies and procedures

- Must complete equipment authorization

-Valid I.D.

-Must pass pre-employment medical screening

*Working conditions will range from extremely hot during the summer months to rather cool during the winter. All employees are required to wear the following safety equipment: respirator, hard hat, ear plugs, coveralls, gloves, steel toed boots. Employees are required to be clean shaven.*

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
