Principal Accountabilities:
Manually scrape, shovel, broom, soap, and spray down areas in the Refinery Area
Removes and disposes of all waste debris, per established procedures
Steam and tempered hose inspections quarterly
Manage dumpster removal and supplies for the plant(Chemicals, Cleaning utensils)
Placing work orders for general plant issues
Painting hand-rails, pipes, etc
Retrieving supplies from receiving for refinery
Changing out chemical waste for refinery lab
Unplugging backed up drains
Shoveling and salting refinery walkways when needed
Ordering supplies when needed
Picking up trash, paper, insulation, skids etc.
Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations(including food safety policies and procedures)
Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
Basic use of a computer
Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic experience troubleshooting various mechanical components and systems.
Prior experience in production related work
Previous experience operating mobile equipment like forklift, bobcat, frontend loader
Working knowledge of Microsoft office software, with emphasis on Excel and Word
Ability to be self motivated and work independently
