We are a very busy large Personal Injury Law Firm looking for a detail oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to join our wonderful team. The ideal candidate would exhibit the following qualities: a person who enjoys helping others, is an excellent communicator, a hard worker who enjoys working both as a team and independently. The right candidate would have the ability to multitask, be reliable, maintain a great attitude, be empathetic, diligent, organized, and be a go-getter that wants to take initiative. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support to our legal teams, and assist in various legal tasks.

This is a full time position, and the ideal candidate would be looking for a long term position, looking to find their “home”. Responsibilities:

• Be the first point of contact for new potential clients;
• Obtain pertinent information while creating new client intakes;
• Screen incoming calls promptly and professionally;
• Assist with administrative tasks;
• Review cases in our system and assist in connecting clients with outside co-counsel;
• Preparing electronic copies of files and legal correspondence to clients and other firms/insurance carriers;
• Create & maintain relationships with outside firms for co-counsel matters.

Required Education, experience and skills:

• Previous experience in a law firm is preferred, but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent;
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite software;
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

• Customer service: 1 year (Required)
