Job Description
As a Referral Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to establish and maintain strong relationships with referral offices, coordinating with them to facilitate patient referrals to our organization. This role involves extensive travel to various provider offices on a daily basis, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration. Additionally, you will be tasked with organizing events, meetings, Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities, educational events, and webinars to engage and educate referring providers. This position requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks while on the road.
- Visit referral offices daily to establish and nurture relationships with providers and staff.
- Coordinate and facilitate patient referrals by liaising between referring providers and our organization.
- Plan, organize, and execute events such as meetings, seminars, workshops, and CME activities to educate and engage referring providers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop educational materials, presentations, and content for events and activities.
- Arrange webinars and online sessions to provide remote education and training opportunities for referring providers.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions, referrals, and activities using designated systems or software.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to enhance referral coordination and communication.
- Provide timely updates and reports on referral activities, outcomes, and performance metrics to management.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to referral management and healthcare education.
- Represent the organization professionally at external events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, marketing, or related field (preferred).
- Previous experience in healthcare referral coordination or customer relationship management.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to organize events, meetings, and educational activities effectively.
- Familiarity with CME requirements and regulations is advantageous.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours as needed.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
