Summary:
The Referral Center Supervisor, working under the direction of the Director of Admissions, ensures that patient referrals and admissions to Care Dimensions are handled appropriately and expeditiously and that all transactions are appropriately documented. The Referral Center Supervisor assumes responsibility for coordination of the Referral Department and Referral Staff.
The Referral Supervisor ensures consistency in the quality of the referral and admission process and ensures compliance with applicable regulations.
This position is responsible for triaging calls and assigning admissions/intake staff members to ensure timely, adequate response to patients, families, and referral sources. The Referral Center Supervisor supervises the Referral Center Assistants, verifies insurance benefits and coverage, data entry of prospective and admitted patients, completion and distribution of intake paperwork, handling intake calls, as well as the ordering of ancillary supplies and services.
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years' work experience in a health care or medical office environment.
- Extensive computer/data entry experience and fluency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with individuals and groups.
- Professional and pleasant telephone manner.
- Demonstrated skills in communication and outreach.
- Ability to guide and develop the skills of assigned staff and exercise independent judgement.

There are some cases in which the pay rate could exceed the range listed on this job post.
