Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to clients
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Schedule appointments and maintain appointment calendar
- Verify documents
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Assist with medical coding and billing processes
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care
Experience:
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding, and office procedures
- Previous experience working in a medical or dental office setting is preferred
- Familiarity with insurance verification and managed care processes
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and medical software applications
- Understanding of ICD-10 coding guidelines
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Strong organizational skills to maintain records and files
