- Drive data integrity for Mizuho by supporting the Mizuho Referential Quality Management (RQM) team with data maintenance activities across lifecycle events of a client including requests for onboarding, legal entity maintenance, and offboarding
- Support reduction of overall risk for Mizuho by executing a consistent process for all referential data activities with proper controls and by providing recommendations for improvement for data integrity
- Help increase efficiency of executing data activities by being able to address all requests regardless of lifecycle event, impacted systems, and/or complexity
- Help improve customer experience by completing data activities effectively allowing customers to access their products and services quicker
Major Responsibilities:
- Evaluate referential data requests effectively stemming from onboarding, maintenance, and offboarding to understand complexities and what actions need to executed to fulfill request
- Review and execute additional requests from the Data Management Office (DMO) that include data breaks. Provide a root cause analysis to manager for these requests.
- Apply understanding of financial services products including banking, securities, and derivatives as well as institutional client types as data activities will be driven by these factors
- Input and modify data elements in Mizuho's banking and securities systems for customers that are onboarding, modifying, or offboarding
- Provide updates and reports as needed to manager to ensure transparency on request progress noting any risks / issues effectively
- Identify impacted downstream systems for clients that require further analysis including clients that contain active subaccounts, duplicate entities, and recently offboarded accounts.
- Communicate effectively with several groups across the enterprise including Mizuho Front Office, Mizuho Client Lifecycle Management (including the onboarding and periodic review teams), Legal, Credit, DMO, and other operations teams responsible
- Ensure receipt of all needed documentation for process completion in accordance with procedures
- Execute all processes in accordance with Mizuho policy and controls
- Understand policy changes socialized by Compliance and implications to the referential data processes by working closely with manager
- Participate in meeting directed by the Referential Quality Management team manager and Head of Onboarding
Qualifications/Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in support a client lifecycle management program at a Financial Institution
- 2+ years banking & securities products experience in KYC. Regulatory, Legal, and Credit experience is a plus
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Appropriate and confidential handling of client data
- Excellent communication skills and experience working with Front Office and clients
- Ability to effectively manage and report on progress of requests
