Assists in managing day-to-day operations of the Recruitment team.Job DescriptionEssential Functions:
Assists with all aspects of recruiting; understands and supports the recruitment needs of departments; communicates with candidates to answer questions and provide information.
Creates position postings and offers to ensure that information is accurate, complete, compliant, and reasonably written to reflect the position’s scope.
Review and screen candidate applications.
Review and make suggested edits to job descriptions as needed.
Recommends and places targeted advertising. Manages invoices and payments.
Works with the Director of Recruitment to review the financial management of the recruitment functions. Monitors expenditures to ensure good stewardship and best practices are being followed.
Supports the recruitment team with managing recruiting materials, scheduling Spark Hire interviews, and Workday tasks (ex: auditing pre-hire and duplicate records.)
Managing communications between campus partners and the Recruitment team.
Assist with room reservation and scheduling of strategic recruiting efforts.
Works collaboratively with other members of the Human Resource team to ensure the hiring process is compliant and accurate (ex. I-9, background, and drug screen.)
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong editing and proofreading skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of customer service standards, and the ability to project a cooperative and professional demeanor while working with a wide range of constituencies in a dynamic and diverse community.
Self-directed and has the ability to work collaboratively or individually.
Ability to process and manage sensitive information; maintains confidentiality of information.
Must be detail-oriented; ability to multi-task and effectively interact with all levels of the institution.
Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
Ability to analyze and solve problems.
Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Experience working in a higher education institution that emphasizes teaching and research.
One to two years of experience in the field of Human Resources, including recruiting and staffing, or associated project initiatives strongly preferred.
General knowledge of HR functions and employment laws, guidelines and procedures.
Proficiency in social media, with direct experience recruiting via LinkedIn; Google applications; and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Knowledge of effective recruitment and staffing strategies, systems, and techniques.
Proficiency with the Workday system.
Supervisory Responsibility:
Responsible for own work only.
