The Recruitment Manager (RM) oversees the recruiting staff in the HR Department and is responsible for the daily tasks including seeking, hiring and interviewing potential staff, preparing the potential employees for onboarding and offboarding. The Recruitment Manager is also responsible for full cycle recruitment of physicians, advance practice providers, management positions and other positions assigned. Duties include preparing and managing job postings on BMS website and external job boards, initial screening of applications and applicants, and coordination of scheduling for applicant interviews with relevant supervisor(s). The Recruitment Manager/Clinical Recruiter is a member of the Credentialing Committee and works very closely with the Privileging Coordinator and provides timely communication to the Privileging Department. Assists and coordinates the development of strategic and comprehensive recruitment plans in accordance with the needs and goals of the company and department. Communication skills are required to persuade and gain cooperation and acceptance of ideas. Responsibility exists to ensure that internal customers are satisfied with service. External communications involve provision of a service, representing the organization to potential candidates and other sources and the ability to deal with sensitive situations/information. .
Essential functions:
- Develops and establishes recruiting strategies, processes, tactics, procedures while managing recruitment services for the organization.
- Manages the development implementation, and evaluation of recruiting practices and procedures and supervises and coordinates recruiting and staffing activities.
- Coordinates, creates, and develops recruiting resources and tools to attract top talent.
- Consults with management in reference to market conditions, hiring trends, and innovation in attracting top talent.
- Stays current on regional and national physician hiring trends and practices; researches competitor's activities to keep informed of changes impacting BMSI's ability to hire and retain top talent. Provides input to improve recruitment processes.
- Researches and attends and develops relationships with outside sources for job fairs, conferences and other recruitment opportunities. Researches association publications, web sites and other appropriate resources on which to post opportunities. Develops promotional materials, such as banners and posters to be used in recruitment events.
- Maintains the BMS profile and active position listing on the National Health Service Corps Program Portal.
- Assists in the preparation and oversight of the annual recruiting budget.
- Tracks and verifies all invoices and funds spent on external recruitment resources; including job postings, and placements, third party placement fees, locum tenens invoices, etc. Analyzes effectiveness of advertising and resources used..
- Contacts professional references for each candidate. Tracks the results of drug screens and background checks. Documents information gathered and updates the respective hiring managers. Follows-up and obtains feedback from interviewers and candidates after interview to determine interest on all parties; behalf.
- Establishing rapport with candidates through effective communication including salary negotiation and problem-solving.
- Responsible for collaborating with the Privileging Coordinator & Insurance Credentialing Coordinator.
- Assists the Human Resources department with other duties assigned.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Business Administration or related field.
Preferred Education:
Master's degree in Business Administration or related field.
Preferred Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
PHR/SPHR
Required Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years in physician and clinical recruitment
Supervisor Responsibilities:
This position supervises all HR Recruiters.
Supervision received from:
Receives supervision from the Director of Human Resources.
