Recruitment Assistant

Are you interested in Recruiting and HR? The City of Naperville's HR department is looking for a highly organized individual with administrative experience to join its Recruitment Team as a Recruitment Assistant. This position will perform a variety of administrative, technical, and clerical duties related to recruiting and onboarding.

• Creates and/or edits position postings and job advertisements. Places postings and advertisements with various sources.
• Responsible for creating and maintaining postings in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Attends job fairs and visits college campuses and trade schools as appropriate.
• Schedules interviews, compiles packets for interview panel members and for interviewees, coordinates and conducts reference checks, proctor selection testing, coordinates travel for out of state applicants, coordinates background checks, post-offer physicals and drug screens and compilation of offer packets. Ensures that new hire paperwork is compliant with federal regulations.
• Initiates onboarding documents and process.
• Assists applicants with inquiries and concerns in a courteous and timely manner.
• Coordinates and maintains archiving of recruitment documents and files in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Safeguards confidential information as specified in the Illinois Municipal Code.
• Provides backup coverage to HR reception in HR Administrative Assistant's absence.

Required Credentials and Experience:

• Three years of administrative experience in recruitment, or related field.
• Associate's degree in business, Human Resources or a related field
