Job Title: Recruiter/Background Screening Coordinator
Reports to: Director of Human Resources
Location:Catholic Center, Diocese of Venice in Florida |Venice FL
Overview
The Recruiter/Background Screening Coordinatorperforms all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the, Diocese of Venice, in Florida, and human resources practices and functions in compliance with other applicable laws.
JobResponsibilities
  • Review fingerprint results for employees and volunteers working with Children/Vulnerable Adults.
  • Access the FDLE Web site to retrieve background check reports and update fingerprint status.
  • Maintain fingerprint/background check database of reports, and all related computer files necessary to track, locate, and report screening results.
  • Analyze background results of employees and volunteers.
  • Assign safe environment training and monitor reports.
  • Review monthly employment termination reports and eliminate terminated employees' data.
  • Provide data updates to VIRTUS as needed.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to identify candidates.
  • Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
  • Screens applicants and selects qualified candidates.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Well-developed organizational skills and extreme attention to detail
  • Skilled in the evaluation of data for the purpose of giving competent recommendations.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to maintain professionalism with people in challenging situations, both in person and by phone.
  • Good time management skills, including the ability to manage several projects at the same time with accuracy.
  • Ability to practice absolute confidentiality and discretion.
  • Good computer literacy, including abilities to use online applications with proficiency (MS Outlook, Word, and Excel) and understanding of data integration between systems.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice; good spelling and grammar required.
  • Knowledge of human resources hiring policies and programs
