The Recreational Therapist, CTRS preferred, will implement individualized therapeutic activity programs that meet the physical, social, emotional, and creative needs of assigned clients. He/She will assess client strengths, needs and interests and develop a treatment plan to address these areas and document progress on a monthly basis.

Due to Devereux Georgia's history of success in treating victims since 2009, the state has chosen to use Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health for their newly approved treatment program. The 24-bed program is a Child Caring Institution (Group Home) for victimized females between the ages of 12 and 17. Our new Child Caring Institution campus is located near the Gwinnett County Police Headquarters on Hi Hope Road.

Education: Minimum of Bachelors degree in Recreation Therapy, Art, Dance, or Music Therapy and qualified for licensing or
registration with the appropriate professional organization.
Certification in Recreational Therapy preferred.
Experience: Preferably one-year experience in conducting therapeutic activities in a program for children or adolescents.
Other qualifications:
- Strong technical skills and comfortable utilizing in-house computer applications for documenting and reporting purposes.
- Must possess excellent leadership skills, therapeutic skills, written/verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Valid Driver's License and Satisfactory Drug Screen and Background Check results.
