As a Recreation Athletics Specialist 2, you will be responsible for being a key member of the team that provides students out of the classroom opportunities directly connected to our student leadership/student life department.

In this role, you will join the Wellness Director and Recreation staff in being an integral member focused on providing excellent services to the student body and campus community. This position is represented by the Washington Federation of State Employees (WFSE) and is subject to shop provisions.

Salary Range: $42,857.00 - 53,115.00 depending on experience. Priority Deadline: First review of applications will be May 22nd. This position will remain open until filled.

What you will be working on: Hire, train, supervise, and mentor hourly staff, work-study, &/or student volunteers Assist with budget and expenditure tracking, reporting, development, and reconciliation; prepare and assist in the preparation and compilation of financial, purchasing, and inventory reports; manage, organize, and maintain physical and electronic files for the Wellness Department while maintaining confidentiality; monitor personal services contracts and all travel related documents. Collaborate with wellness/recreation staff on programming, and decisions that drive continuous customer service improvements.

Assist with intramural sports/recreation programs. What you bring as a candidate: (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience) Associates of Arts' Degree, OR any combination of relevant education, training, and experience that indicates successful performance of the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, and Word programs.

Demonstrated commitment to fostering an equitable and inclusive environment for all students/members and ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Experience with outreach, marketing, and/or recruitment of wellness members. Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to perform range of physical motions, exerting up to 25 pounds; lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds; standing, walking, sitting for long periods of time, kneeling, squatting, an stooping; and traversing up and down stairs.
