Recovery Center Driver

Recovery Center Driver (No overtime salaried position)

The Recovery Center Driver will provide transportation to incoming/outgoing residents or other transportation as authorized by the Clinical Director. The primary purpose of this position is to provide transportation via motor vehicle to clients to and from their pickup or drop off site. These locations will be in Flathead valley but also outside of flathead valley with locations such as Billings, Missoula, Wolf Point, etc. The Driver will also be going to each of our RCM locations.

Other responsibilities may be assessing conflict situations with residents, and contacting supervisors as needed. The Recovery Center Driver will follow policies and procedures, all rules and instructions regarding the therapeutic milieu and routines.

Essential Job Functions:

· Driving/ picking up clients in a safe and timely manner

· Report any resident needs or requests to oncoming shift staff

· Maintain a professional relationship with residents

· Report any disruptive behavior or violations that occur during your shift in the daily log

· Communicate any concerns to oncoming staff your fellow staff members is a vital part of this position

Attendance Requirements:

· Drivers will be expected to have flexible hours that meet client scheduling needs. The scheduling of staff meetings and training meetings may necessitate variations in schedules. Permanent changes in an employee’s work schedule will be provided to the employee in writing with an explanation why the change was made. Scheduling is the responsibility of the employer and will be based on the needs of the people served by the agency.

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Able to assess and to respond to the needs of adults, able to set and maintain boundaries.
• Understanding of addictions, behaviors, and relationships with a diverse group of people
• Demonstrates healthy interpersonal skills, a sense of humor, adaptability, and models a positive self-concept.
• Empathy and adequate communication skills (both verbal and written) to establish trusting relationships with residents.
• Available beyond regularly scheduled hours to assist and provide team support.
• Able to identify a crisis and to respond accordingly, making necessary referrals to meet client needs.
• Positive teamwork skills with other staff, clients, and other resources in the community
• Computer skills sufficient

Education/Experience:

· A High School Diploma

· Mental health experience a plus

· Personal experience relevant to services provided.

· Possession of a current/valid driver’s license/ car insurance

-Clear Criminal Background check
