Glendora Employment Agency, Inc. is a boutique staffing firm located in the foothills of the San Gabriel Valley. Glendora Employment Agency, Inc. specializes in bringing local job seekers together with local employers. We are currently seeking a Records Specialistfor a school in Maricopa, CA.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under the direction of the Director of Special Education & Student Services, the Records Specialist will perform a variety of complex and technical duties involved in the collection, evaluation, manipulation, and maintenance of general education and special education student records.
Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
· House and maintain all student records (CUME’s).
· Work with Registrars from other schools/districts to ensure overlapping enrollments are satisfactorily resolved.
· Maintain and update Withdrawal Survey.
· Process CUME requests and send student records to new schools.
· Follow up with a Superintendent letter when unable to verify new school.
· Call all withdrawing families and perform a short Exit Survey or Follow up with Private.
· Fill out, sign, and return High School Work Permit Applications.
· Maintain and update Transcript Request Survey.
· Provide official/unofficial transcripts to families.
· Request transcripts from previous schools for families/counselors.
· Provide Enrollment Verification letters to families.
· Process legal name changes and upload appropriate legal paperwork to student’s dashboard.
· Archive and maintain Legal Documents including restraining orders and custody arrangements.
· Manage and monitor database users and student records for the purpose of assuring accuracy, and identifying and resolving data errors as necessary.
· Respond to questions from program staff; remotely assists staff with technology problems.
· Prepare and maintain a variety of records and reports as needed for the purpose of complying with state mandated reporting requirements.
· Attend staff meetings and professional development training.
· Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ideal candidates should possess the following skills/qualifications demonstrated through previous work experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Two or more years of administrative or technical support experience required.
· Proficient in MS Office.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Responsible and able to maintain confidentiality.
· Must be able to pass TB Test Clearance and Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance
· Must possess a CA Driver License due to servicing multiple sites.
· Ability to work well in teams and independently.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Position: Temp-to-Hire
Shift: Hybrid schedule;Monday – Friday from8:00am – 4:30pm
Salary: $16 - $25/hour (Depending on experience)
