Telework Information: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.
CalPERS seeks an Associate Accounting Analyst in the Financial Reporting and Accounting Services Division, Recon Unit.
The AAA is responsible for the following: reconciles the Public Employees' Retirement Fund (PERF), administrative personnel services accounts, operating expenses, revolving fund, and equipment. Prepares and posts journals entries to record the monthly accounting activity and any adjustments to general ledger accounts. Prepares and processes the Plan of Financial Adjustments (PFA) transfers, SCO transaction letters, quarterly invoices for Long Term Care and Supplemental Income Plans, cost allocation expense adjustments, Replacement Benefit Fund SCO Transaction Request Transfer. Prepares and posts the annual building account acquisitions capitalization and depreciation, open enrollment reimbursement, and Old Age & Survivors' Insurance (OASI) reimbursement. Prepares and processes lump sum contributions, payroll adjustments, owner's distribution remittance to STO, and stale dated checks. Approves investment related expenses using PeopleSoft Financial System (PeopleSoft) and the State Street Bank Cash Manager wire system.

Special Requirements Statement of Qualifications
