This position is a full time, 12 month position with benefits. QUALIFICATIONS:A minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent and skills of the successful performance of the tasks assigned.Knowledge of computer usage and office practices.Effective communication techniques and procedures.
Communicate effectively in oral and written form.Establish cooperative relationships in a calm and tactful manner.Effectively carry out oral and written directions.Must be able to successfully pass a background check.JOB GOAL: To provide the necessary clerical responsibilities required to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Southern Missouri Technical Institute. JOB DUTIES:Serve as the primary contact for customer service and sending school relations for the building including greeting visitors, answering phones, and responding to email inquiriesEffectively communicate with sending schools regarding attendance, calendars, and other mattersServe as the primary contact for adult program admissions including preparation, distribution, and collection of application packetsAssist with pre-admission testing, interviews, drug test scheduling, and notification of acceptance or rejection into adult programmingPrepare weekly reports of applicantsTrack sending school attendanceCoordinate adult program attendance and prepare, distribute, collect, and process adult makeup timeComplete agency attendance and enrollment tracking formsPrepare determination forms for Financial AidAssist with annual follow up activitiesAny other duties as directed by SMTI administration.
