Receptionist/Kennel Attendant

Duties:

- Answering phones and scheduling appointments

- FInancial Transactions

- Sending referrals to the referral hospitals

- Provide care and support for animals in our boarding facility

- Clean and sanitize kennels and animal living areas

- Feed and water animals according to their specific dietary needs

- Monitor the health and well-being of animals, reporting any concerns to the supervisor

- Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming

- Walk dogs and provide exercise

- Administer medications or treatments as directed by veterinary staff

- Maintain accurate records of animal care and behavior observations

Experience:

- Previous experience working with animals in a professional setting preferred

- Knowledge of basic animal care techniques and best practices

- Familiarity with dog training methods and techniques

- Understanding of veterinary procedures and terminology is a plus

- Must handle animals with care and compassion

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and pet owners

Skills:

- Animal handling: Proficiency in safely handling various types of animals, including dogs, cats

- Veterinary: Basic knowledge of veterinary procedures, medications, and terminology.

- Kennel: Experience working in a kennel environment, including cleaning, feeding, and caring for animals.

- Pet grooming: Familiarity with basic grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming.

- Animal restraint: Skill in safely restraining animals during medical procedures or grooming tasks.

- Animal care: Understanding of general animal care practices, including feeding, watering, and providing enrichment.

- Heavy lifting: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects or animals as required.

Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour
