Drybar is looking for a fun, energetic, and customer-centered Receptionist / Sales Associate to fill our Front Desk position!
This is not your normal retail customer service role. At Drybar, our retail associates or receptionists are called Bartenders because that’s what they do – they tend to the social experience of our “bar” atmosphere. Responsibilities:
- You will be the first point of contact to our client, leading them an awesome experience from check in to check out. Setting the tone of a positive-fun shop atmosphere, making sure to enthusiastically greet guests.
- Optimizing and maximizing appointments; organizing and executing shop flow between clients and staff. Troubleshooting reservation system issues, booking/rebooking appointments, and updating client’s notes and information.
- Maintaining the highest degree of ethics when handling client payments and stylist tips/commissions. Balance the cash drawer at opening, close and at shift changes. Promoting and selling memberships, gift cards, and retail products to guests.
- Problem solving when faced with client concerns or operational issues, always ensuring the solution is focused on providing an excellent experience to the client.
- Maintaining overall shop cleanliness by conducting walkthroughs behind the bar and keeping the front desk area clean.

Qualifications:
- 1+ years experience in a fast paced, customer service environment. Previous salon/spa experience preferred but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have a positive demeanor, energetic personality, and a strong desire to provide an engaging experience to our clients.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment and has excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Frequently required to stand and/or walk for duration of 6-8 hour shifts
- Has basic computer skills and the technical ability to operate a point of sale system (Previous experience with Point of Sale Systems strongly preferred)
- A polished appearance! We dress in our Drybar colors: black, white, grey, yellow, and denim.
