JOB SUMMARY:
Provides clerical support for department and/or assigned group and receptionist duties.
- Responds to telephone calls and directs to proper person.
- Greets the public and directs to proper area or person.
- Collects fees and processes receipts.
- Prepares paperwork required for Courts and/or District Attorney's Office.
- Types correspondence, reports, and documents.
- Maintains files and records.
- Enters data into computer.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- Two years related job experience.
- General secretarial principles/procedures.
- Good computer skills and must be able to type.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact and deal effectively with the public.
- Good written communication skills;
- ability to organize and prioritize own work.
- Valid Texas Driver's License.
- Bi-lingual preferred.
- Emily Court location.
SALARY: Part-Time $19.50/hour
(Monday – Thursday 7:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m..; Friday 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.)

For certain positions requiring certification, state standards shall disqualify an applicant if their criminal history reveals:
1) A felony conviction against the laws of this state, another state, or the United States within the past 10 years; a deferred adjudication for a felony against the laws of this state, another state, or the United States within the past 10 years or current felony probation or parole
2) A jailable misdemeanor conviction against the laws of this state, another state or the United States within the past 5 years; a deferred adjudication for a jailable misdemeanor against the laws of this state, another state, or the United States within the past 5 years or current misdemeanor probation or parole
3) Registered as a sex offender under Chapter 62, Texas Code of Criminal Procedure.
