JOB SUMMARY:
- Acts as receptionist when needed.
- Prepares correspondence, reports, and documents as needed.
- Assists with Court Run/Mail Run to District Attorney’s Office, Clerk’s Office, Court(s) and Sheriff’s Office.
- Sorts mail and distribute to appropriate personnel.
- Answers incoming telephone calls and responds to routine public inquiries or directs to appropriate person.
- Performs authorized Criminal History Records requests.
- Prepares juvenile court dockets and forwards to department staff, District Attorney’s Office, Clerk’s Office and Judge(s).
- Assists with preparation of statistical reports, along with notarizes paperwork for department.
- Prepares and coordinates service request tickets for I.T. and Facilities.
- Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Three years job related experience.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Knowledge of general secretarial principles/procedures.
- Strong computer and typing skills, including spreadsheets, word processing; proficient with MS Office.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact and deal effectively with the public, county employees and elected officials.
- Good written communication skills; ability to organize and prioritize own work.
- Valid Texas Driver License.
For certain positions requiring certification, state standards shall disqualify an applicant if their criminal history reveals:
1) A felony conviction against the laws of this state, another state, or the United States within the past 10 years; a deferred adjudication for a felony against the laws of this state, another state, or the United States within the past 10 years or current felony probation or parole
