TITLE: Receptionist Part Time
LOCATION: Center for Active Aging, Bryn Mawr
HOURS: 3 days/week, 20-25 hours/week
PAY RATE: $15.00/hour
POSITION STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt
POSITION SUMMARY
The receptionist creates the first impression of Surrey Services to all who visit or call. She (he) represents to all Surrey’s motto of “neighbor helping neighbor” by presenting a friendly, respectful, caring, and professional manner.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Communicates the Surrey mission and culture to staff, members, and volunteers.
* Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone.
* Directs visitors to correct destination.
* Monitors visitor access and visitor’s logbook and maintains security awareness.
*Answers incoming calls on multi-line telephone, screen, and directs calls.
* Provides general and administrative support.
* Reminds members to sign in to Copilot.
* Assists members with Copilot questions as needed.
* Enters data into Copilot Data Base when needed.
* Assists with new and renewing memberships.
* Accepts reservations and program payments.
* Makes reminder calls for upcoming programs.
* Ensures reception area is tidy and organized.
* Distributes and explains brochures, newsletters, and other information as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES
* Knowledge of Surrey’s services and programs.
* Attention to detail.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Compassionate customer service skills.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Above average typing/data entry skills
* Must have access to a working Smartphone
* Ability and willingness to work in an environment which would require being on the phone while there is conversation and ambient background noise nearby
