Job Description
OBJECTIVE: Individual serves the public through effective implementation of federal/state regulations; Provides a wide range of casework services to children and families.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Primary duties include:
Greet and assist visitors and consumers of the agency; Provide basic program information to consumers and route to appropriate unit; Scan and/or copy items brought by consumers to the agency and distribute to the appropriate worker and provide consumer with a receipt of items processed; log Medicaid renewals, TMA reports, SNAP Redeterminations and Interim Report completed and returned by client as received in the Ohio Benefits system
Assists PA with screening and scheduling of all applications received for PA/Medicaid; accept payments received by the agency and provide receipt to consumer; answer telephone calls and route to appropriate worker; retrieve messages from voice mail and forward to appropriate personnel daily; prepare and post outgoing mail; process incoming mail by date stamping and scanning; Maintain agency reproduced forms; Attend to the lobby by Open/close lobby per agency operating hours, Keep straightened and sanitized, Keep brochures and postings updated, Pass out information to consumers
The employee must possess the skills and ability to cope with diverse environments, health hazards and personal safety issues, including aggressive behaviors
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or GED required. One year relative experience in office setting preferred. Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license in accordance with County policy and motor vehicle insurance.
