Job Description
The receptionist will serve visitors and employees by appropriately greeting, welcoming, and directing them, notifying company personnel of visitor arrival, and maintaining security and telecommunications systems.
Shift:
This is a full-time, 30 hours/week position, 4 pm - 10 pm, Monday through Friday.
Essential Functions:
- Greeting and assisting clients
- Security and telecommunications
- Handling a variety of administrative support tasks
- Providing outstanding customer service
- Welcoming and greeting clients.
- Performing safety checks and issuing visitor badges
- Directing clients around the campus
- Maintaining visitor logs
- Answering and forwarding phone calls
- Organizing and distributing mail
- Copying, faxing, and performing other administrative tasks
- Preparing rooms for training and meetings
- Keeping the reception desk and area clean and well-organized
- Providing delightful customer service
- High School diploma
- Experience as a receptionist is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Great telephone communication skills
- Great organizational skills
- Good computer skills, including competency in Microsoft Office programs.

Physical and Mental Job Requirements:
- Ability to exercise self-control in potentially volatile situations such as being verbally or physically confronted in a threatening or aggressive manner.
- Must be able to work and concentrate amidst distractions such as noise, conversation, and foot traffic.
