Job Description

Mission:

The receptionist will serve visitors and employees by appropriately greeting, welcoming, and directing them, notifying company personnel of visitor arrival, and maintaining security and telecommunications systems.


Shift:

This is a full-time, 30 hours/week position, 4 pm - 10 pm, Monday through Friday.


Essential Functions:

  • Greeting and assisting clients
  • Security and telecommunications
  • Handling a variety of administrative support tasks
  • Providing outstanding customer service
  • Welcoming and greeting clients.
  • Performing safety checks and issuing visitor badges
  • Directing clients around the campus
  • Maintaining visitor logs
  • Answering and forwarding phone calls
  • Organizing and distributing mail
  • Copying, faxing, and performing other administrative tasks
  • Preparing rooms for training and meetings
  • Keeping the reception desk and area clean and well-organized
  • Providing delightful customer service
Job Requirements:
  • High School diploma
  • Experience as a receptionist is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Great telephone communication skills
  • Great organizational skills
  • Good computer skills, including competency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Good time-management skills
  • Customer-centric approach
  • Professional and friendly disposition
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Willingness to assist colleagues with administrative tasks.


Physical and Mental Job Requirements:

  • Ability to exercise self-control in potentially volatile situations such as being verbally or physically confronted in a threatening or aggressive manner.
  • Must be able to work and concentrate amidst distractions such as noise, conversation, and foot traffic.
