Our Receiving Warehouse Technician II contributes to the success of UltiMed to manufacture premium quality injection devices and related medical products with a focus on serving people and pets with diabetes. Our patented and proprietary UltiGuard Safe Pack works to ensure homes and communities have a safe and secure way to properly dispose of sharps. Coordinating workload within a small team, this position verifies and keeps records on outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the duties according to quality and productivity standards. This role works a consistent 1st shift schedule M-F.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for scheduling unloading/receipt of all incoming finished products, parts, and materials including chemicals delivered via palletized tractor trailer and floor loaded ocean containers approx. 2 times per week.
  • Responsible for planning, supervising, and executing day to day workflow.
  • Main contact with freight companies for scheduling of deliveries.
  • Plan and execute inventory rotations according to companies FIFO requirements.
  • Manage inventory counting to ensure accurate inventory for Receiving Warehouse.
  • Provide daily work direction for Receiving Warehouse Tech’s.
  • Function as main contact for other business units (i.e. production, QA, Shipping, Accounting, etc.).
  • Stage product for production and shipping warehouse as needed and assist in delivering to west warehouse.
  • Work with Production and Logistics Manager for planning and improvements.
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor.
  • Responsible for putting away all incoming products and materials, managing Receiving Warehouse inventory locations and keeping dock area organized and clean.
  • Responsible for following and maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
  • Able to use forklift. (training available)
  • Return unused staged materials from Production back into Warehouse location as required.
  • Will be interacting closely with multiple departments when required. (Production, QA, Accounting, etc.)
  • Process all required transactions in the Company’s Business System.
  • Main process/functional owner of operating the corrugated box baler.
  • Flexibility for cross training in other areas of the company to assist as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with receiving and/or warehousing, not required but advantageous.
  • Frequently lift and/or move items up to 40lbs. for extended periods.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift and pallet jacks. (Passing the forklift training)
  • Have basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Ability to learn the Company’s Business System.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Be organized and detail oriented.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and create and manage multiple priorities.
  • Be a positive person for the Receiving/Warehouse area.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Be able to follow instructions as assigned by the manager.
  • Be able to diagnose issues within the Receiving Department procedures and suggest improvements.

Physical Job Requirements:

  • Position requires periods of moderately intense physical effort. Floor loaded containers need to be unloaded and palletized. This requires 1-2 hours of lifting boxes up to 40 pounds and stacking by part and lot number.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be independently mobile and move throughout the facility in a safe manner.
  • The employee is required to successfully interact with a computer and spend time at a desk.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with individuals both external and internal to the company in written, verbal and interpersonal forms required.
