Job description

The Receiver's Nurse Executive leads the nursing management team in developing, piloting, implementing, and supporting changes in the correctional health care delivery model. The Receiver's Nurse Executive facilitates compassionate, safe, effective, timely, efficient, and equitable patient-centered care across multiple disciplines in coordination with the custody staff. This position oversees all direct patient care activities for assigned institution.
The position is located at Correctional Training Facility in Soledad, California.

This position is Limited-Term for 24 months and not 12 months as stated above, with a possibility of becoming permanent, in which the incumbent would serve a one-year probationary period.
California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) was created to restore a constitutional level of health care for more than 100,000 inmates in California's correctional facilities. Providing quality care for people who previously had no voice in their own care is a noble cause and epic in scope. It requires individuals with an exceptional dedication to their profession and their patients.
Special Requirements

Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. If it is determined an applicant does not meet the Minimum Qualifications, the candidate will be withheld from the eligibility list, rendering them inactive and ineligible to be hired for the position. Candidates who have been withheld may file an appeal with the State Personnel Board .
Candidates new to CDCR or the Division of Juvenile Justice are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
