Established in 2009, Midwest Construction Materials specializes in Concrete Construction Materials and Fabricated Rebar. With two locations and many years of industry knowledge, we strive to be the number one source for all your project needs.
We are looking for a Rebar Fabricator to join our team at our Decatur, IL location.
Hours are M-F, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Pay is $20/hour; could increase based on experience. Knowledge in rebar fabrication, driving a forklift, operating a bending and/or shear machine is preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Unloading / loading trailers in all weather conditions and storing the material in designated areas
- Operating machinery (shear and bender) to bend or cut reinforcing steel to customer specifications while maintaining a safe and clean working environment at all times
- Driving a forklift
- Reporting maintenance and safety issues to shop lead/manager
- Additional duties assigned by the shop lead/manager
Requirements / Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to perform basic math for accurate bar measurements
- Ability to read and understand basic safety and operational instructions
- Must present a good work ethic, attention to detail, and have a dependable and punctual attendance history
- Must be willing to take direction
- Must be able to stand, lift, squat, rotate, turn, bend, sit, and grab for long periods of time
- Some heavy lifting may be necessary
- Working conditions are similar to an outdoor environment and can be hot, cold, noisy, and dusty
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
