The Learning Spot is looking for reliable Reading and Math Tutors to join our educational team. We are currently looking to fill multiple tutoring positions. The ideal candidates will provide support for K-5th grade students. Tutors will be responsible for documenting completed tasks and communicating student’s progress to our Instructional Coach. Our ideal candidate has worked professionally with school-age children in some capacity. Training will be provided.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide tutoring
- Implement the activities created for each session
- Coordinate with the Instructional Coach to plan activities
- Maintain a tutoring log
- Provide encouragement and positive motivation
Qualifications and Skills
- Leadership skills
- Proficient in basic math and/or reading comprehension
- Enjoys working with children
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to pass a background check.
- Available to work during school hours or after school
- Reliable transportation
The Learning Spot is a tutoring and enrichment center. We provide one-on-one and small group tutoring to help students reach their academic goals. Our experienced, certified tutors are committed to helping students to understand challenging concepts, fix learning gaps and develop valuable skills.
