As a Kraft Heinz Co-Op Intern, you're hand-selected by our U.S Packaging Leadership team to participate in a 6-month immersive program. Instead of going on coffee runs and making copies, you'll be seated at the table making critical decisions that will influence not only your team, but the overall achievement of Kraft Heinz's mission.

During your 6-month program, you will join a cohort of other ambitious Co-Op interns to learn directly from Kraft Heinz leaders, join in a function-specific role, deliver tangible business results, and be immersed in weekly learning opportunities and social events. At the 6-month program's conclusion, you will have the opportunity to present your project and results to the US Packaging Leadership Team. Our program's goal is to build a direct pipeline into our Direct-hire pool after graduation.

Below are two example projects previous co-ops have worked on. Kraft Heinz recently published the 2020 ESG Report, which highlights critical packaging sustainability commitments, as part of the greater enterprise strategy.

Included in the commitments is for all packaging to be recyclable, reusable, or compostable by 2025. Therefore, the co-op was responsible for exploring new packaging that could be recyclable to replace current, non-recyclable packaging. This project established the proof of concept for package material variables to meet recyclability criteria and KHC manufacturing and product performance requirements for products.

Packaging improvements to a high volume product could result in a material reduction of 2 to 4 million pounds annually, which helps support our 2025 sustainability goals. The project challenge was to prove out parity performance of the new packaging in terms of quality tests, product interaction, shelf life, and match performance at the factory site while creating an exceptional package for the consumer and our environment. You should join us at our table if: You are pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Packaging Science, Packaging Engineering and other related majors You're currently in your (Rising) Junior or Senior year or in Graduate Program.
