Primary Responsibilities:
- Optical CMM Programmer (NC Analyst), tasked with programmingnumerically controlled inspection equipment. Software includes but not limited to Zone 3, Measure X, MeasureFit,MeasureMind, and MetMax.
- Provides guidance and work direction to lower classificationanalysts.
- Performs assigned departmental administrative duties.Conducts process engineering functions as needed to assist in engineeringproject completion or product realization.
- Analyzes product definition drawings or computerized databases for appropriate method of accomplishing the requested N/C operation.
- Develops a machining and/or inspection process methodologyor reviews requested methodology for operational feasibility and completeness.
- Develops tool, probe, or measuring machine paths utilizingtool axis control for multi-axis operations including validity of selectedcutting tools and/or probes to perform the requested operation.
- Performs verification of part programs to ensure resultantdata will produce or inspect product to quality requirements includingutilization of computerized tools.
- Performs Software Quality Assurance (SQA) steps includingthe creation of a documentation folder for each N/C program and participates inthe validation of N/C programs in manufacturing areas.
- Participates in N/C equipment procurement throughdevelopment of a test plan and test programs and determines acceptability ofthe proposed equipment's control unit.
- Develops programming manuals and instructs other analysts onequipment or programming methodologies including use of tool axis controltechniques.
- Performs project administration and related leadershipduties, which include project status reporting, preparing projectdocumentation, user/vendor liaison, planning and scheduling, and assisting inbudgeting and procuring computer related equipment.
- Performs detailed evaluation of new, revised, or proposedsupport software.
- Defines, develops, and improves machining processes andidentifies and resolves N/C manufacturing problems.
- May perform other duties as required.
- Conducts activities in a safe and healthy manner and worksin accordance with established ES&H requirements to ensure the protectionof associates, the public, and the environment. Takes actions necessary to stopwork when an unsafe condition or action is identified. Every associate has theright and responsibility to stop work when unsafe conditions or actions areidentified.
You Must Have:
- US Citizenship (capable of obtaining and maintaining agovernment security clearance)
- Minimum of four years of N/C programming experience onvarious types of N/C equipment and demonstrated ability to independently manageN/C assignments or projects.
- Knowledge of N/C machining and/or inspection processes.

- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Technology, IndustrialTechnology, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related degree, or two additionalyears of direct work experience in N/C equipment programming in lieu of a Bachelor'sdegree.
