Rcm Strategic Advisor

This is a remote position.

As RCM Strategic Advisor, you will take a lead role in driving business growth and delivering client success. The RCM Strategic Advisor works closely w/ the RCM Team and clients to provide RCM advisory services to our customers and improve the financial health of the practice, hospital and/or health system. The RCM Advisor will work w/ customers and prospects as a subject matter expert representing Cognizant's products and services. The RCM Advisor provides consultative reviews of revenue cycle performances and recommends process changes and/or improvements to impact overall performance and efficiency of the provider.

Essential Functions / Tasks / Duties / Responsibilities:

• Develop trusted advisor relationships w/ healthcare leadership and provide strategic guidance
• Lead complex consulting engagements improving financial outcomes for clients
• Provide expertise in revenue cycle, clinical integration and financial turnarounds
• Design innovative solutions to pressing revenue cycle challenges
• Oversee development of proposals, workshops and thought leadership content
• Contribute to practice strategy, capability development and talent acquisition
• Promote our brand distinction and value proposition within the market
• Support the sale as a Revenue Cycle Management Advisor during the sales cycle
• Build strategic relationships w/ clients assuring that they are full leveraging all of Cognizant RCM capabilities, products and services
• Evaluate then recommend best practices to ensure outcomes that will meet client expectations
• Recommend new products and services by evaluating current product results, identifying the return-on-investment for those product enhancements
• Collaborates w/ team members and clients to determine current process gaps and assist w/ developing future processes
• Thoroughly performs an end-to-end RCM evaluation including but not limited to the following: fee schedules, contract analysis, EHR analysis, practice management analysis related to the front end process, ATB analysis, trend analysis of payments and areas of underpayment and recovery
• Investigates claims using the A/R Analysis Report, Claims and AR, rejections, acknowledgements and any other tools necessary to determine and resolve problems for the clients revenue cycle

• Reports and discusses inconsistencies and/or discrepancies found during our analysis of the clients end to end RCM processes
• Ability to represent and effectively communicate results to executive leadership at provider offices, hospitals and health systems
• Quickly adapts to changing payer/state rules and apply updated knowledge including updating internal reference resources
• Participates in professional/company development activities
• Ensures strict confidentiality of client records
• Meets routine deadlines and work schedules as well as timely and accurate completeness of special projects
• Monitor industry dynamics and competitive forces to identify growth opportunities
• Continuously expand knowledge of emerging trends, technologies and best practices
• Understands, supports, enforces and complies w/ company policies, procedures and standards of business ethics and conducts
• Maintains proficiency and level of knowledge w/ all systems required for task completion
• Ensures compliance w/ all state and federal billing regulations and reports any suspected compliance issues to the respective manager
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned
