Saffron is seeking dedicated behavior therapists to join our team. We provide ABA services in our center as well as the home and community to children with autism and related developmental disorders.

Position: Experienced ABA Therapist / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Competitive compensation (hourly rate)

Location: Maplewood, NJ

Schedule: Part-Time; Up to 20 hours per week / weekdays with flexible schedule

Responsibilities/Job Description:

• Provide behavior intervention services to individuals diagnosed with Autism and related disorders in the home, school, and in the community
• Implement behavior intervention and skill acquisition plans developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with continuous in person support from the BCBA.
• Collect and record data using our data collection software
• Prepare and maintain organized program materials
• Complete accurate treatment notes and submit within the appropriate time frame
• Strictly follow BACB guidelines
• Participate in team meetings and provide valuable input as it relates to the clients you service

Physical Requirements:

• Be able to lift 25‐50 pounds
• Be able to move quickly in your immediate environment, sit on the floor, bend down, squat and kneel, run short distances
• Must have access to own vehicle for transportation to client homes or other locations throughout area of service delivery

Qualifications:

• Minimum of an associates degree (bachelor’s degree preferred)
• RBT certificate or completion of RBT certificate within 60 days of hire date
• Completion of background check
• Completion of two professional reference checks
• Completion of company training within 30 days of hire date
• Experience working with children in a professional capacity
• Preferred minimum of 1 year of experience working with behavior intervention program(s) and behavior plans based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
• Knowledge of child developmental milestones
• Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders
• Ability to develop a positive rapport with each client while maintaining instructional control and implementing the treatment plan
