Job description

Essential Functions:

As a valued member of the PrimeFlight team, you will provide prompt, safe, and efficient ground-handling service to our airline clients and their passengers. You will work around various aircraft types with a focus on safety and attention to detail, completing various aspects of ramp service functions. You will:

  • Work in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, and heat
  • Guide inbound/outbound airplanes to and from the gate without damage or injury
  • Safely lift, load, unload, and transport baggage, mail, and cargo to and from the aircraft and airport
  • Protect baggage and other equipment from damage, loss, and weather conditions
  • Drive and operate heavy ground equipment, such as tugs, cargo carts, service trucks, and belt loaders
  • Assist with record-keeping and documentation to ensure the correct routing of baggage
  • Maintain area cleanliness
  • Periodically check the ground equipment for functionality
  • Demonstrate regular, predictable attendance at the job location
  • Exceed PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards
  • Carry out other duties as assigned

Computer Skills:

Computer, tablet, or smartphone ability.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid State Driver’s License with a verifiable safe vehicle operating record.

  • Continuously stand and walk for 6-8 hours

  • Must be able to lift bags high enough to transport luggage
  • Use hands to finger, handle, or feel
  • Be able to work in tight spaces
  • Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms generated by the terminal environment
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
