Position Overview
Under the direction of the Installation Crew Lead and the Installation Foreman, you will install the railing, balconies, and other various products. You will be responsible for loading railing for transport, transporting railing, unloading and laying out railing at the job site according to the site plans, and then installing the railing. Responsibilities will also include:
- Installing railing professionally without damaging it during transportation or installation.
- Maintaining the vehicle your crew uses and ensuring that it is clean and fully stocked with hardware and materials.
- Monitoring the products as you load them for transport to ensure that all pieces are accounted for and that they are all built properly with no defects. You will refer to the plans to do so.
- Ensuring that your crew is able to depart from the shop as close to 8 am as possible.
Requirements
- Your own personal tools
- Impact driver, 2’ level, tape measure, and pencil and marker.
- A valid driver’s license with reliable transportation to and from work
- The dexterity, strength, and stamina to work (mostly standing) for 8 hours a day
- The ability to lift up to 50lbs on a daily basis

- The want to learn a new trade and apply themselves every day.
- Climb ladders, load railing, install railing/vinyl decking and work in a team setting.
- Show up on time and be ready to work: tools packed and ready, proper apparel and gear, etc.
- Be autonomous and self-sufficient: it’s expected that you know what your job is and exactly what you need to do to get it done. Training will be provided in the field.
- Learn about the company. The more you know about our processes, the better you’ll be at your job as an installer.
- Stay alert and aware when you’re in the field.
Compensation
- You will be compensated for a starting hourly rate between $19/hr. (depending on experience).
