Rail Car Loader - (2nd Shift)

Job Summary

The Utility Worker/Rail is responsible for loading and unloading of raw material/cookie meal onto Rail Cars.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Unloads raw material trailers that cannot be dumped with a Bartlett lift.
• Loads all cookie meal on trailer hoppers or Rail Cars; ensures trailers or Rail Cars are clean before loading.
• Weighs trucks after loading; pulls Rail Cars to scales for weighing.
• Obtains samples from hopper trailers or Rail Cars; maintains back up samples and sends samples to lab for analysis.
• Operates company vehicles around plant and property.
• Maintains neat and clean work area at all times.
• Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.

Education/Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
• Frequently must push, pull, move or lift up to 100 lbs.
• Regularly required reach with hands and arms.

Work Environment

Job functions will be carried out in a bakery facility which requires tolerance for high heat and/or cold temperatures.
