Description
We are seeking a full time (0.5 FTE) Radiologic Technologist/(0.5 FTE) Chiropractic Technician to join our Lakewood Clinic team.
A Radiologic Technologist supports the delivery of whole-person quality care by engaging patients and all members of the care team and delivering images to guide treatment. The Radiologic Tech assists in the imaging and treatment of patients as directed by the provider.
A Certified Chiropractic Technician's purpose is to support the delivery of whole-person quality care by engaging patients and all members of the care team to deliver patient-centered care. Under the supervision of the Chiropractor, the Certified Chiropractic Technician assists in examinations and treatment of patients. A Chiropractic Technician may also perform other tasks related to registration, scheduling, and billing.
Radiologist Technologist Essential Duties include but are not limited to:
- Position for and obtain high quality x-ray images as directed by provider.
- Facilitate the transfer of images to the radiologist and completed reports back to the ordering provider.
- Explain x-ray procedures to patients.
- Clean, maintain, and make minor adjustments to radiographic equipment and radiology suite.
- Protect patient, self, and other personnel from radiation hazards.
- Practice ALARA.
- Works as part of a team and resources team to support department daily operations as needed including rooming, lab, etc.
- The Radiologist Technologist may perform other tasks such as assisting with prior authorizations, appointment scheduling, laboratory, medical assisting, or other duties as assigned.
- Complete quality assurance and quality control as directed by the organization.
- Monitor and maintain x-ray supplies.
- Maintain records and service manuals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Chiropractic Technician Essential Duties include but are not limited to:
- Participate in a team atmosphere to serve the patient population.
- Assist the providers with examinations and therapies as directed by organizational standards, organizational procedures, and state licensing.
- Room patients, measure vital signs, obtain patient history and other pertinent information, and record information in the patient's electronic health record. Inform provider of any patient or patient record concerns.
- Instruct, administer, and supervise therapies per provider direction and organizational standards.
- Assist in miscellaneous administrative duties when needed such as patient scheduling, insurance inquiries, referrals, letters, collecting medical records, making copies, and other clerical duties as assigned.
- Clean and sterilize instruments. Clean and prepare tables, rooms, and other clinic areas including laundry.
- Inventory, order, and stock supplies and materials.
- Other duties as assigned.
Candidates not yet certified upon hire, but to be obtained within 90 Days of Hire, will be limited to the essential duties of the job listed below until certification is obtained within their Introductory Period:
- Participate in a team atmosphere to serve the patient population.
- Accurately and thoroughly document patient information in the EMR as directed by, performed by, or explained by, the provider. Inform provider of any patient or patient record concerns.
- Assist in miscellaneous administrative duties when needed such as patient scheduling, insurance inquiries, referrals, letters, collecting medical records, making copies, and other clerical duties as assigned.
- Clean and sterilize instruments. Clean and prepare tables, rooms, and other clinic areas including laundry.
- Inventory, order, and stock supplies and materials.
Requirements
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Current Wisconsin Licensed Radiographer required
- Current ARRT Certification
- Current CPR certification or the ability to obtain CPR certification upon hire
- Completion of a Chiropractic Technician certification course deemed acceptable by the State examining board. Active WI Chiropractic Technician licensure required or to be obtained within 90 days of hire. Reimbursement is available for Chiropractic Technician Certification.
Preferred Skills
Previous Chiropractic work experience preferred.
