Job Duties/Skills

This position is perfect for someone who wants to make a real difference in the lives of others - with the added benefit of daytime hours!! The Radiation Therapist may be required to travel between our three locations: Tacoma, one in Gig Harbor, and one in Puyallup. Our offices close for weekends & holidays.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Delivers therapeutic radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the radiation oncologist following Tacoma Valley Radiation Oncology Centers Company Policies and Procedures.

2. Applies the principles of patient safety during all aspects of patient care while assuming responsibility for patient needs during treatment.

3. Monitors and assesses the patients throughout the treatment course.

4. Reviews patient treatment plan and prescription prior to initial treatment delivery for quality and accuracy.

5. Prepares room and equipment such as immobilization, treatment and protection devices, confirms patient identification and positions according to prescription.

6. Performs morning warm up verifying photon energies, electron energies and linear accelerator functions

7. Educates and monitors students within the Radiation Therapy Training Program.

Requirements:

· ARRT License

· Washington State License

· Preferably one year experience
