New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS), a prominent and respected Oncology/Hematology group, is seeking an Experienced Radiation Therapist to join a well-established and growing pure sub-specialty practice with academic affiliation. Clinics from Southampton to NYC.  Practice manages a freestanding outpatient 7-day per week Cancer Center with extensive chemotherapy administration, Radiation Oncology, Pharmacy and Research department.

Radiation Therapists deliver radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist  

In this role you will:

• Administer radiation to specific body parts
• Positioning the patient properly to ensure correct treatment
• Follow principles of radiation protection for themselves and others
• Reviewing and checking charts
• Ensuring patient safety at all times
• Preparing the treatment machine, including daily quality assurance tests and making immobilization devices
• Counsel and monitor any patient side effects

We require:

• Valid NY State License in Radiation Therapy,
• Registered with ASRT and ARRT. 
• 5 day a week availability for the first 3 months of training
• Experienced required

Full Time- 4 days a week (after training period)

(Training is 5 days a week for the first 3 months)

Salary range: $99,000-$120,000/yr based on experience
