Full-Time Onsite Schedule:
Thursday - Sunday 9:00pm-7:30am.
Our Award Winning Client is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join their dynamic team. This full-time position requires a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology, certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, and possessing a current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT). Additionally, registration as a Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) is mandatory.
Key Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, required.
- Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required.
- Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R), required.
Technical Skills:
- Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients for job functions.
- Demonstrates commitment to the Partners-in-Caring process.
- Performs radiography (x-ray) exams ensuring compliance with radiation safety procedures.
- Prepares patients for exams, records vital signs, explains procedures, administers IV and contrast when necessary.
- Positions patients for exams, selects appropriate imaging techniques, and ensures technical quality of images.
- Enters and monitors patient data.
- Performs quality assurance on radiology equipment.
- Assists with initial and renewal application for ACR and other accreditation.
- Identifies and reports accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions.
- Takes emergency calls within the department, may work weekends and float to other locations as needed.
- May administer breath alcohol tests and/or urine drug screens.
- May perform patient registration tasks such as verifying insurance, collecting payments, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe care for patients, staff, and visitors; adhere to all policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications.
- Promote individual professional growth and development through mandatory/continuing education.
- Support department-based goals contributing to the organization's success.
- Other duties as assigned.
