- Ability to use an automotive hoist safely and lift vehicles without causing damage or personal injury
- Perform a vehicle check up or multi point inspection and report findings to the service advisor
- Correctly change engine oil and oil filter
- Correctly replace engine air filter and cabin air filter as needed
- Ability to lift large tires to complete tire rotation on cars and light to medium duty trucks
- Mount and balance tires on cars and light to medium duty trucks
- Communicate clearly to team members during the vehicle check up process
- Check tire pressure and set to specification
- Repair or replace worn parts as needed
- Use power tools and common hand tools to perform various tasks
- Use a grease gun to lube grease fittings
- Replace diesel and gasoline fuel filters
- Properly test batteries in gas and diesel powered vehicles
- KEEP THE SHOP CLEAN AND SAFE!!!
- An understanding of automobiles and basic mechanical skills
- Effective analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improve
- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- ASE Certification/Technical degree is a plus
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must pass a pre employment drug screening
