About The Role

We're looking for a Quality Technician who is passionate about all things quality, regulatory, and Food Safety! Being a Quality Technician is a vital part of growing Bizzy from a small manufacturer to a national powerhouse.

Position Overview

As a Quality Technician at Bizzy Coffee, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will support production quality checks, monitor processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quality Inspections: Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure they meet established quality standards.
• Data Collection: Record and analyze data related to quality metrics, deviations, and trends, and report findings to the Quality Manager.
• Process Monitoring: Continuously monitor production processes to identify and address any deviations from quality standards.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of quality control activities, including test results, inspection reports, and documentation related to non-conformities.
• Quality Training: Assist in providing training to production personnel on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies related to product quality and safety. Support the Quality Manager as needed preparing for audits both planned and unannounced.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing process enhancements to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate quality control equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
• Perform sanitation tasks after production is completed. Perform swab checks, and follow any other sanitation tasks as needed.
• Follow all Safety Programs and lead by example.
• All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in a related field is a plus.
• Previous experience in a quality control or quality assurance role within the food and beverage industry is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
• Knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Understanding of food safety and quality regulations (e.g., SQF, HACCP, GMP) is a plus.
• Familiarity with quality control equipment and software is advantageous.
• Red Zone software experience is advantageous.

Shift - roughly 2pm-10pm

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $19.00 - $23.00/hour.
