Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Quality Supervisor, this position is responsible for implementing techniques, processes, and procedures at the plant level to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards. Responsible for adhering to Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices, to ensure the production of safe quality products.
Examples of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Practice, teach and enforce the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) established for Quality
- Practice and enforce all Safety policies and procedures
- Monitor and verify accuracy of product, product packaging, product labeling and product identification/markings
- Support team member safety by promoting safe work practices, monitoring compliance with policies, and minimizing physical hazards to promote an overall safe work environment
- Adhere to, teach, and monitor quality programs
- Ensure process controls are met, all documentation is accurate and bring about corrective action as needed
- Assist in external audits and documentation
- Using quality SOP’s inspect all raw materials for accuracy, including juice tanker inspections which require safely climbing a tanker ladder
- Ensure all paperwork is complete and accurate
- Help resolve quality issues on the production floor
- Comply with all company policies, practices, and procedures
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
- Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
- Learn, practice, and adhere to all Safety policies & procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) established for CPS
- Learn, practice, and adhere to all Quality policies and procedures including Safe Quality Food (SQF), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Quality Points (HACQP).
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Comprehend basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, weights and measures, and efficient use of a calculator
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Possess mechanical aptitude with the ability to assemble, troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to communicate both written and orally within the organization
- Ability to give positive suggestions to improve operations in the work center

- High school diploma or GED, and 2 years work experience in a manufacturing environment
Physical Demands:
- Vision, hearing, and speaking to meet performance standards
- Climb ladder up to 10 feet off the ground using safety equipment provided
- Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods, reach, push, pull, lift, climb, bend, stoop, squat, and use manual dexterity to work with the following tools: blending machines, scales, pallet jacks, drum dollies, mops, brooms, portable stairs, hoses, forklifts etc.
- Ability to safely lift to 50 pounds on a frequent basis and move heavier weights using proper equipment and/or team lifting techniques
Work Environment: Requires ability to work in an environment that may contain fumes, dust, odors, moderate level noise, and temperature and ventilation variations while wearing any appropriate safety and/or protective clean room apparel required (e.g.: safety glasses, gloves, hair net, face mask or respirator, and uniforms)
