Quality Technician I

THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Quality Technician reporting to the LaSalle Quality Supervisor you will be responsible for:

• Upholding Carus’ quality standards and exceed customer expectations by leveraging your analytical skills to qualify raw materials, and test in-process and finished products to ensure they meet appropriate specifications.
• Notifying operations of non-conforming material or product results and providing support to help troubleshoot and identify solutions.
• Providing collaborative assistance to Research & Development, process development and operations during plant trials and other projects.
• Maintaining and updating various records and databases including: production inventory system, inspection reports and quality records.

THE QUALIIFICATIONS

The right candidate will be able to use basic quality techniques to solve problems, implement solutions and to drive ongoing quality improvements.

Your credentials ideally include:

• An Associates’ degree in chemistry or related field with five or more years of hands on bench experience as a laboratory or a Bachelor’s degree in a chemistry or related science field.
• Experience with problem solving, root cause analysis or six sigma philosophy.
• Attention to detail, time management skills and basic understanding of statistics.
• This position will need to access relevant areas of the manufacturing operations.
• Ability to work a rotating weekend and holiday schedule.
