We have an immediate need for a first-shift quality inspector on first shift at a local manufacturer in the Grand Rapids area.
This is a temp-to-perm opportunity.
Daily/Weekly Duties:
o Use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Photoshop to create production prints for manufacturing.
o Programming laser scanner.
o Assists with gauge calibration.
o Dimensional measurement of product using all styles of micrometers, calipers, protractors, height gages, laser scanners, vision systems and virtual CMM.
o Maintenance of customer complaint database.
o Investigation of customer complaints and corrective actions.
o Incoming materials audits.
o Investigation of internal issues.
Experience
o Understand and can apply statistical concepts for capability and gauge studies.
o Experience with ISO 9001:2015.
o Understanding of Lean or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
o Minimum of 3 years in industrial manufacturing facilities and quality inspection
o PLEX Manufacturing Cloud.
o Keyence IM and XM.
o Virtek laser QC.
o Layered process audits.
o Experience in a fabrication shop would be helpful.
o Familiarity with Metal Fabrication, Welding, Stamping, Assembly, and CNC machining.
o Education Requirements:
o High School diploma or GED equivalency.
