Quality Team Lead

Position Summary: Provide supervision, work direction and training coordination for inspection of product, and ensuring compliance to all quality standard

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or years of experience quality processes
• Minimum 3+ years quality control related experience.

Primary Position Responsibilities:

• Supervise incoming materials, in-process, and final product inspection to meet customer quality standard
• Coordinate inspection support to meet Manufacturing demands while effectively interfacing with supporting groups: Production, Engineering, and Procurement
• Participate in the continuous improvement process and BQ improvement plans
• Participate in implementation of quality system improvements to comply with business plan goals
• Conduct Layered process audits to reinforce process standardization and to ensure that system meet control plan requirements and countermeasure effectiveness.
• Train the production team and quality inspectors to meet customer quality standard and participate in the continuous improvement process
• Ensure adherence to Standard work documents and update as required
• Direct employee performance, reviews and implement manpower plan, ensure that all procedures are being followed and company policies are being implemented
• Create daily report with accurate data
• Lead 5-S activities
• Support T/L with repair feedback when necessary
• Ensure team compliance with safety and housekeeping
• Other duties as assigned

• Strong leadership skills
• Ability to communicate with all levels of Associates and outside contacts
• Ability to work independently from general supervision
• Understand Lean principals and is able to apply them
• Understand Rood Cause Analysis and is able to drive continuous improvement
• Excellent organization skills with ability to perform multiple tasks and obtain results working within strict time frames
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Ability to read and comprehend engineering specifications and drawings
• Proficient knowledge of manufacturing process
• Good written and verbal skills in Spanish and English
