Role Description:
Our company seeks a seasoned Quality Systems Coordinator with experience in developing and implementing Quality Management Systems in compliance with ISO 9001:2015. In this role, you will be ensuring the effectiveness of the Eberhard Manufacturing Quality System by managing the Internal Audit System, updating the Quality Manual and Procedures to meet the requirements of the current ISO 9001 standard, and providing training on the Eberhard Manufacturing Quality System to the organization to ensure maximum impact on product quality.
Core Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the Eberhard Manufacturing Quality System is effectively implemented throughout the plant and meets the current ISO 9001 standard.
- Maintain the Quality Manual and Procedures and ensure contents meet current practice and the current ISO 9001 standard.
- Managed the internal QMS audit system, conducted audits, and provided training and guidance to other auditors.
- Host external Quality System audits and complete Quality System questionnaires.
- Organize and manage the corrective action reporting system and ensure that issues are properly documented and resolved promptly.
- Provide training on current and updates to Quality Systems Procedures.
- Coordinate the review of quality procedures associated with continuous plant improvement initiatives.
- Oversee the Deviation Log to ensure the proper disposition of requests and that any resulting permanent changes are completed.
- Coordinate Outside Sourcing for Quality Testing and Calibration
- Assist with determining the impact of gages that fail validation.
- Assist in internal quality issues on parts and components that are produced or purchased.
- Assist with Customer Complaints in the Quality Assurance Specialist's absence.
- Act as Quality Supervisor in their absence.
- Act as Quality Manager Designee in their absence.
- Assist when assigned by the Quality Manager in conducting Supplier Quality Audits.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001:2015 (certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor with IRCA or equivalent certification preferred).
- Strong organizational, communication, and team skills.
- Strong procedural writing skills.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Product Knowledge.
- Experience working in a manufacturing plant.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- How to use and understand basic measuring tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of statistical software.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Engineering / Quality or a related field or related job experience.
- Working knowledge of Access Databases and experience with UniPoint Quality Management Software is a plus.
