Job Description
Job Summary:
Plans, directs, and implements the quality organization’s Quality Program, including the supervising of welding, NDT (Non-Destructive Testing), training, tracking of KPIs (key process indicators), creating ITPs (inspection and test plans) and Quality Plans and performing site or fabrication audits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plans and implements quality policies and procedures in compliance with customer, local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
- Plans and implements programs to train managers, shop and field employees in work NDT practices.
- Oversees subcontractor organization quality activities to detect existing or potential problems, and determines corrective or preventative measures where indicated and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.
- Review potential customer RFQ (Request for Quotation) documents for quality, welding, and NDT requirements, and prepares quality documents needed to support the bid and project.

- Knowledge of API-650, API 620, API-653, and ASME is desired.
Education and/or Experience:
- Engineering degree or equivalent from college or technical school; 15 years quality related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; 10 years’ experience in the oil and refining Manufacturing and/or Construction Industry.
Language Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as quality specifications and welding procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
- The ability to read, write and speak English and Spanish is required.
Computer Skills
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge and skills in using Microsoft Office Suite of products.
Training/Certifications/Other
- AWS CWI – Recommended
- ASNT – SNT-TC-1A Level III by ASNT - - Beneficial
- API-653 and/or API-570 certifications would be beneficial.
Required Travel:
- Must be able to travel 40% of the time.
- Will require a passport for international travel to specific job sites.
