Quality Project Engineer

As the Quality Project Engineer, you will be responsible for data analysis, documentation, and coordination of test data to support Quality Projects. You will assist other Customer Quality Engineer's with Customer responses for process changes, trials, documentation, and fulfilling other Customer specific requirements. You will also support Supplier Quality Engineer's with the development of supplier procedures to satisfy production requirements and ensure quality product. This is an onsite position reporting to the Quality Assurance Site Manager.
Main Responsibilities:

• Prepare, submit, follow up, and close submissions to Customers related to process or storage of Raw Materials and Finished Goods.
• Participate and facilitate Risk Assessment identification and documentation and compliance to Customer Specific Requirements to support PPG IATF certification.
• Support supplier development initiatives which include traveling to suppliers for supplier monitoring and auditing - both internal and external.
• Track and report on supplier quality metrics - both internal and external
• Partner with suppliers to develop work instructions/standard operating procedures, control plans, process maps and other relevant documentation.
• Be the facilitator for external and internal non-conformities, ensuring identification of root cause and implementation of permanent corrective actions (avoid repeats)
• Establish working relationships with customers and provide accurate, appropriate solutions to customer problems or requests.
• Gather Quality data from data sources to identify and interpret trends.
• Evaluate and present on status of project to CQE/SQE/Project Managers/Customers/etc.
• Collaborate with the Quality management team to set quality goals and alignment with KPI.

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field OR 3+ years of manufacturing experience
• Knowledge of statistical methods and tests (Six Sigma Green OR Black Belt preferred)
• Project management skills
• Industry Quality tools and standards knowledge
• Knowledge of Power BI, Minitab, Engage, Microsoft Office
