Job Description
- Plan, develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate the total quality assurance function for Escalator Plant.
- Oversee the development and implementation of the quality system.
- Manage and direct activities in the Quality Assurance activities.
- Develop and manage division quality organization including management of ISO certification.
- Facilitate and participate in quality improvement projects.
- Plan and implement quality training.
- Plan quality objectives and measurement systems.
- Participate in product development teams – assure quality product, process, testing.
- Perform and document results of factory and job site audits.
- Provide supplier management with purchasing personnel.
- Assist in development of Quality module.
- Develop and maintain customer feedback/satisfaction system.
- Record measurable statistics which this position impacts (e.g. warranty costs).
- Manage plant scrap levels.
- Manage and resolve field warranty claims.
- 3-5 years of Quality leadership experience.
- 3-5 years of supervisory/management experience
- ASQ Certification as Quality Manager or Quality Engineer preferred.
- ISO 9000 quality system development, implementation, certification experience.
- Computer skills –Microsoft Suite of Products. SAP R/3 a plus.
- Ability to work with different functional areas and management levels within the company.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
